Cartagena, Colombia – Step into a city where colonial architecture meets Caribbean flair. Cartagena’s cobblestone streets, historic forts, and boutique shopping create a sophisticated backdrop for elegant exploration and fine dining. My traveling companion and I stayed for 2 nights pre-cruise in a luxury hotel by the beach, where we had the opportunity to enjoy sea views from the infinity pool and also explore the historical and beautiful town with a private tour guide.

Santa Marta, Colombia – Nestled between the Sierra Nevada mountains and the sea, this charming city offers both cultural richness and natural wonders. We had a food and historical tour around the city and then did a private rum tasting experience.

Aruba – Known for its stunning white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, Aruba is perfect for indulgent relaxation, exclusive beach clubs, and upscale dining. We went on a catamaran snorkeling trip and toured a luxury resort known for its sustainable practices (Bucuti & Tara).

Bonaire – A diver’s paradise with pristine marine parks, Bonaire offers peaceful luxury through private snorkeling adventures and serene seaside resorts, ideal for guests seeking tranquility and natural beauty. We had an adventure with a safari jeep-based tour guide who took us all around the island and showed us ancient cave paintings, wild donkeys, and sweeping vistas that we never would have experienced on our own. We also visited a luxury resort where we enjoyed amazing snorkeling right from the beach.

Curacao – This island boasts colorful Dutch colonial architecture and a vibrant arts scene. Luxury travelers can enjoy private yacht charters, gourmet dining, and exclusive gallery tours in Willemstad’s UNESCO-listed historic district. We were able to go on private food and cultural tour and even heard the Shabbat prayers being chanted from inside the oldest continuously operating synagogue in the Western Hemisphere (established in 1651).

St. Lucia – A dramatic landscape dominated by the iconic Pitons, St. Lucia is a hotspot for high-end ecoadventures, lavish spa days, and luxurious beachfront resorts set amid lush tropical surrounds. The St. Lucia Tourism Board hosted us with a private driver who took us to 3 luxury resorts as well as the mud bath spa and the Tet Paul Nature Reserve.

Canouan – Known for its seclusion and upscale vibe this island is part of the archipelago of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. For our final day of our Silversea cruise, we enjoyed a private beach club day, making us feel just a bit like the millionaires and billionaires that escape to this exclusive island.

Bridgetown, Barbados – Ending the journey in Barbados signaled a grand finale with lively markets, historic sites, and elegant resorts. We spent our disembarkation day enjoying the beach and a delicious gourmet dinner in the nearby St. Lawrence Gap area.
